United we Stand - A call to Shantae-Fans (Rant!)

Description

'Don't wait for a miracle. Be the miracle!'

Another drawing finished.
And this time, with an important message.
Originally, I wanted to add some words there as well.
But I have bad handwriting and it just ended up looking messy, so I left the handwriting out.

What is this drawing about?
You can see Shantae down there, half-asleep in the depths of oblivion.
But her fans are fighting for her and help her rise from the shadows and go to the light.
The hands represent the fans the potential powers they can develop.

And with this, we're right on the topic...
Before I start with the actual rant, I might as point out that this rant is kind of a follow-up of a journal entry I wrote some time ago,
The link: [link]

If you haven't read it already, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you to do it!

I love Shantae. The games are just wonderful.
And like I said in the journal, I think it's almost a crime that it was punished with low attention and rejection from other companies.
And it just cannot be true that developers who put all their heart into such a wonderful game are punished, while OTHER COMPANIES I COULD MENTION (*cough* C[r]apcom *cough*) do a half-arsed/lazy job and are successful with it.
That just ain't right.

So I am trying all I can in order to do something about it.
To help Shantae get the attention and success she deserves.
Though I am just one man and I can only do so much.

But in an entire fan-community, that is solidary, sticks together and fights as one, we could move mountains.

I know many people say we cannot do anything.
But I think it's a load of bull. And it's because of this pessimistic viewpoint that fan-efforts end up failing in some cases.
However, if fans would at least try, they'd see for themselves that they are not as powerless as they thought they were.

Which is why I IMPLORE every Shantae-fan who might read this...!
Please join in this fight for great justice. Do everything in your power to help Shantae.
And if we do it all together, we can really make a difference.
I know we can! :)

Now what can you do in order to help?
Well, there are many ways.

The easiest and simplest way to help out is SPEADING THE WORD WHENEVER AND WHEREVER POSSIBLE!
Show Shantae and her games to people on forums and other sites you're registered.
With a little luck they might get interested in it and we can say hello to new fans.

Of course there are also other ways.
For example: I was thinking about making a fan-game, which is a crossover fighting games with Shantae in it.
And I figured if the fan-game is well made, including Shantae within a cast of really popular characters would be a great way to make her more popular.

You can also make Plushies or other merchandise and stuff.
Though this and other ways might require some money.

Like buying a spot for an event (like Comic Con or something) and selling stuff there.
(100.000 Strong did that, if I am not mistaken.)

Of course, those are just some examples.
Be creative and think about what else you could do to help.
The possibilities are (pretty much) endless!

Ultimately it's everyone's own decision if he or she wants to support these efforts and how far they want to go with the support.

Just remember that if we just stick together, with each of us doing our bit for great justice, we can make Shantae a really popular character.

With a little luck, maybe she can get back into the retail-sector.
And maybe her games can FINALLY make it into Japan?
And maybe we can even make her so popular that she can compete with other well-known characters such as Mario, Sonic and other characters?

Well, anything is possible. That's for sure.

Just read the first line I posted in this description and take it in.
It's just so true. (At least I think that)

Another quote I can post is: Together we are Strong!
And yet another line I can only agree with.

So, I hope I got the message across.
And I pray that more Shantae-fans will actually try and fight with us for Shantae.
Let us all do something about this poor girl.

EXTEND THE HELPING HAND! And help the Half-Genie to rise from the depths of oblivion and go to the light.

A solidary community that sticks together can move mountains.
NEVER forget this!

Oh and one more thing.
Here is a site that is currently under construction.
But I thought I might advertise for it a little.

You can also try and contact them via the shown E-Mail Address.
I am sure they will love it and boost their motivation to get this site up and running. :)

And I think this is all.
See you soon! :D

Shantae deserves to be popular just by her mere appearance. If the FedEx guy encouraged us to buy products, Shantae's sexiness should have brought gamers in to play her adventures.

It's interesting that some artworks of her look like they were drawn by Japanese game designers and anime artists, but it's a real shame that Shantae didn't make it big in Japan. After all, Thomas the Tank Engine and Pokémon are such a big deal in that country, so why can't they have some hard-to-beat competition with Shantae around? Someday, I hope they make a Shantae anime since some promotional artwork looks so much like it.

Listen to me on this: I support every single word you said with a fiery passion. Geez, and I thought Rouge the Bat was hot.... =(
